St. Anthony lies on the west slope of the Continental
Divide on the banks of the world famous fly-fishing
River the Henry's Fork of the Snake River. Agriculture
is the main
industry
here
with
an emphasis
on potatoes,
grain and cattle. However several other industries
such
as
lumber,
dairy and
related businesses can also be found here. St. Anthony
is also becoming a technological hub, with a major
Information Technology firm having it's International
offices here.
With 10,600 acres of white quartz sand blown into 400 foot high dunes, this is the ultimate playground for off-road vehicle enthusiasts. Today the St. Anthony Sand Dunes are home to a Wilderness Study Area and one of the largest herds of wintering elk in the United States.
